GIS Training Program
Courses Available:
Introduction to ArcView GIS
This 2-day course led by our ESRI authorized ArcView GIS instructor
will give participants a conceptual overview of the ArcView program,
as well as the hands-on experience needed to take full advantage of
ArcView GIS software's display, editing, analysis and presentation
mapping capabilities.
Participants will become familiar with the components of the ArcView
interface and learn how views, tables, charts and layouts are used to
display and work with different kinds of information. Participants will
learn to use ArcView to display, edit, query and analyze geographic
tabular data and to create presentation charts and maps.
Managing a GIS Program
MARSHALL offers this intensive, one-day seminar on demand or in
conjunction with major industry conferences. This seminar was designed
to meet the needs of individuals currently managing GIS systems.
Participants will review and discuss the current issues faced by
managers including design, policy, legal, change management and other
issues. The group will examine various examples from around the
Northwest as well as the systems managed by class participants.
Managers from large and small agencies around the Northwest will have
the opportunity to round-table with each other. Elizabeth Marshall,
class facilitator, will share insights gained from her years of
experience working with northwest agencies and managing and developing
GIS systems.
On-site Training
MARSHALL will send our trainer to your location to conduct GIS training.
MARSHALL trainers provide quality, hands-on training. Class sizes
are limited to promote interaction between our trainers and class
participants. An on-site training course provides a good learning
forum. It ensures good attendance and allows students to absorb the
course information in a familiar and comfortable setting. On-site
training lets students get answers to their questions on the spot and
gives them the opportunity to try their new skills under expert
guidance.
